In the MSFB Board, 4 Board members were reaching the end of their mandates:
André Coulange, Martina Ghelarducci, Sofie Spiers, and Leen Verhenne.
We needed to elect minimum 2 medical candidates out of 4 candidates to maintain a medical majority on the MSFB Board.
However, we unfortunately received the candidacy of only one (1) candidate, while we needed minimum 5 candidates in order to elect the 4 members to replace the outgoing board members.
Per the Internal Rules 3.4.2., we needed to have at least one more candidate than there are seats to fill. We therefore could not hold elections without at least 2 candidates and had no other option but to cancel the MSF Belgium board election.
