Every year, prior to the Gathering, a Motions Committee consisting of OCB Board members select motions/recommendations to be presented at the OCB Gathering from those passed in the partnering associations’ General Assemblies, Field Associative Debates or during HoM/Medcos week’s debates.
Individual members may also present motions/recommendations to the Motions Committee.
The Motions Committee checks that motions to be presented are not a repeat of past motions.
It will also review the different recommendations (or proposed motions which are more recommendations) and bring back issues (e.g. potentially controversial ones) requiring discussion to the OCB Board prior to the OCB Gathering.
During the Gathering, the motions will preferably be presented by those who originally put them forward, before being subject to debate and voting.
